From Hurt to Healing
Scripture: Ephesians 4:31–32
This Sunday’s message spoke deeply to the heart as Sis. Ezra Cabrera shared God’s call to move from hurt to healing. Rooted in Ephesians 4:31–32, the sermon reminded us that healing begins when we allow God to deal with the pain we carry and choose forgiveness over bitterness.
The passage urges believers to put away bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and malice—attitudes that keep wounds open and hearts heavy. In their place, God invites us to live with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness, just as Christ has forgiven us.
Key points from the message:
-
๐ Unhealed hurt affects the heart – Holding on to pain can harden us and damage our walk with God.
-
๐️ Release what weighs you down – Letting go of anger and resentment is a step toward freedom.
-
๐ Choose forgiveness – Forgiveness is not denying the hurt, but trusting God to heal and restore.
-
✨ Reflect Christ’s grace – We forgive because God, in Christ, has forgiven us first.
Sis. Ezra encouraged everyone to bring their wounds to God and allow His grace to restore broken places, leading to peace, freedom, and renewed relationships.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32
๐ Prayer:
Lord, heal the hurts in our hearts. Help us release bitterness and choose forgiveness. Fill us with Your kindness and compassion, that we may reflect Your love and walk in true freedom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
