Turning 85 is already a beautiful milestone in itself—but celebrating 85 years of life while still faithfully serving the Lord is nothing short of inspiring. Today, we honor and celebrate the life of Pastor Mel Cerro, a true testament of unwavering faith, relentless dedication, and wholehearted obedience to God’s calling.

“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.” — Psalm 92:12–13

For eight full decades, Pastor Mel’s life has been a living sermon—one that speaks of perseverance, humility, sacrifice, and deep love for God’s people. Through the years, he has stood firm in the pulpit, in prayer, in counsel, and in quiet acts of service that only heaven fully records. Age has never weakened his passion; instead, it has refined his faith and strengthened his resolve to keep serving no matter the season.

Still Running the Race with Joy

At 85, many would choose rest—and rightly so—but Pastor Mel continues to prove that ministry does not retire. His strength may look different now, but his spirit remains on fire. His presence still brings encouragement. His words still lift weary hearts. His prayers still move mountains.
